For majority of the Health Science courses like MBBS, BDS, BAMS etc. the candidates have to appear for NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) Examination and qualify the same for the academic year for which they are seeking admissions. Cut-off for General (Open Category) candidates is 50th percentile while for reserved (OBC/ ST/ SC) candidates it is 40th percentile.
Also the candidates belonging to SC, ST or OBC, the minimum marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together in the qualifying examination ( XIIth or other equivalent examination) should be 40% and for candidates belonging to Open (General) Category it should be 50%.
Apply early by filling up the online application form (Cost 1550/- for Undergraduate and 2150/- for Post graduate programs)
Once the application form is submitted successfully you will receive the email with the necessary Eligibility Criteria required for the choice of course selected by the applicant.
Next step is to get the documents verified either through email or physical verification of documents at the University Admissions Office.
Once the documents are verified the candidate can block a provisional seat by paying 50% of the Tuition fees (Subject to the declaration of XIIth result)
Note that provisional seats are allotted to Health Sciences courses for which the government does not carry out any counselling.
On declaration of Class XIIth result and physical submission of all the original documents and payment of fees the student can secure a confirmed seat for the course for which the provisional seat is allotted. (Subject to the candidate satisfying the eligibility criteria as well as the allocation of seat through Merit.)
