DY Patil University School of Pharmacy, had organized a School visit at Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Vidyalaya School in Turbhe, Navi Mumbai on 16th March 2022 for FY D Pharmacy. The entire visit was coordinated by Professor Mrs. Jyoti Katkar.
The visit started from 10:00 am. Each Batch were visited on different classes ( 5th,6th and 7th Std.).
Each batch explain the communicable diseases with the help of mask also gave the knowledge about how to wear and dispose the mask, some attractive video stories.
They were discussed about oral health and hygiene, explain Hand wash techniques by using sanitizer. Students also explain about balance diet and nutrition. They also distribute fruit- orange.
Through focused lectures and audio-visual media the children were informed about the dangers of junk food and packaged fast foods. The idea of consuming tasty, wholesome, easy to prepare, inexpensive foods was ingrained by actual cooking demonstrations.
FY D Pharm students had conducted awareness program on food, nutrition, oral health hygiene and Communicable disease. Students feel good and they accepted that we are the one part of society for developing health awareness.
