As a part of academic social responsibility towards community D Y Patil University School of Pharmacy, Navi Mumbai organized the flood relief donation drive for the people who had huge losses due to heavy rains in Konkan Maharashtra. On 24th of July 2021, the donations drive was started and there was active participation from students, teaching and Non teaching faculty. Students, teaching and non teaching staff participated and donated collectively Rs. 15000/-. Following items were purchased from the donated amount and distributed. Things donated:- Tur dal 20 kgs , 40 packets pack of half kg, Rice - 31 kgs , 62 packets of half kg, Tea powder- 10kgs - 20 packs of half kg, Toothbrush - 50 pcs, Soap - 30 pack, Naphthalene balls - 10 packets, Sanitary napkins pads – 400, T-shirts - 30 pcs, Shorts - 30 pcs, Inner wears - 30 pcs, Candles _ 30 packets each contains 6, Matchbox - 15 packets, Parle g biscuits - 100 packets, Sugar - 75 packets of half kg. All these items were donated by student representative, Mr. Anish Shah (S Y D Pharm.) who helped extraordinarily to accomplish our goals by working on ground level to help needy. Activity was coordinated by Students Council under the guidance of Mr. Pravin Naik, Student’s Council In-charge.
