Students of F.Y.D.Pharm program visited Gelnova Laboratories Pvt. Limited, Mahape, Navi Mumbai on 19th and 21st May, 2022 to get an insight into the process of soft gelatin capsule manufacturing. The students were taken through different aspects of soft gelatin capsule manufacture such as receipt of raw materials, warehousing of raw materials, testing of raw materials before use in manufacture, manufacturing process, packaging, quality control and stability testing. A total of 45 students participated in the visit. The visit was very useful for students as it helped them to visualize and understand the entire process of soft gelatin capsule manufacture. The activity was co-ordinated by Dr. Priyanka Prabhu, Associate Professor, D.Y. Patil University School of Pharmacy, Navi Mumbai.
