Report on Workshop of Nursing Process

The common thread uniting different types of nurses who work in varied areas is the nursing process. It is the essential core of practice for nurses to deliver holistic, patient-focused care. The aim of the workshop is to provide students with a framework used to provide effective, coordinated, and organized quality care for patients.
A one day workshop on ‘Nursing Process’ was held on 4th October 2019 at Pushpanjali auditorium, D.Y. Patil Hospital organized by D.Y. Patil school of Nursing, coordinated by Ms. Nisha Mane and Chairperson for this workshop is Prof. Dr. Rita Lakhani, Principal. The workshop inaugurated by, Dr. Rahul Peddawad, CEO, D.Y. Patil Hospital.
The following session was conducted from 9.30 am to 5 pm. Prof. Dr. Rita Lakhani presented a lecture on critical thinking, Dr. Amit Khomane presented on problem-solving. Mrs. Shalini Abraham conducted a session on Assessment of Nursing Process, Ms. Nisha Mane, Asst. Prof. dealt with Nursing Diagnosis, Ms. Deepa Reddy, Asst. Prof. presented on Planning of Nursing Process and Prof. Mrs. Mankumari Mistry spoke on Implementation and evaluation of Nursing Process. The workshop ended with a vote of thanks by Ms. Charisma
The beneficiaries of this workshop were 1st year Basic B.Sc. Nursing, 2nd year Basic B.Sc. Nursing 1st year Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing, 2nd year Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing, 1st year M. Sc. Nursing and 2nd-year M.Sc. Nursing. Around 95 students participated in the workshop. Mrs. Nisha Mane concluded the program with a vote of thanks.
