Confidence-building measures namely appointment of counsellors, the arrival of senior students and a week or two weeks following the arrival of the juniors; joint sensitization programs; joint orientation program of 'freshers' and ‘seniors’ to be addressed by the Dean/principal; organization on a large scale of cultural, sports and other activities; make provisions for faculty members to dine with the hostel residents in their respective hostels, etc.
