1) Course Overview:
The B.Sc. Physician Associate programme is a 3 year undergraduate programme under which, we train students to work as a trained assistant in health care setting to bridge the gap between staff nurse and specialist doctor. After undergoing training in the subjects of basic medical sciences, students are trained to provide diagnostic, therapeutic and preventive health care services in almost all medical specialties. Working as members of health care team, they take medical histories, perform initial examinations of the patients, order for laboratory tests and x-rays and assist the doctors for diagnosis and treatment. We train students in all clinical skills using clinical demonstration and simulation base training. Programme is developed to create manpower for supporting all specialties as well as super specialty doctors. Further, we train students in various research and administrative skill which are supportive to clinician. At the end of three years of training students are competent to work with clinician in any kind of heath care setting.
Eligibility Criteria:
12th Science with biology, physics and chemistry
Duration Of Course:
3 years + 1 year Non Stipendary Internship in D.Y.Patil Hospital , Nerul ,Navi Mumbai
