ACHIEVEMENTS BY STUDENTS:-

Boys’ cricket team bagged Runner’s up Trophy at IDA national cricket tournament.

Post graduate student from Department of Oral and Maxillofacial surgery won best research paper presentation award

It is a proud moment for us to announce that Dr. Siddhesh Birje, final year post-graduate student from the Department of Oral pathology, presented a poster titled “Perplexity And Precision in the Diagnosis of Oral & Maxillofacial Pathologies” and won the second prize.

It is a proud moment for us to announce that The Indian Academy for Clinical and Dental Genetics conducted Genomeden International Intercollege Online Quiz Competition 2021 on October 2, 2021, and recognized Poojita Shetty from D.Y. Patil Deemed-to-be University, School of Dentistry as the winner of the competition.

It is a proud moment for us to announce that the final year post-graduate student, Dr.Aysha Hasna presented a paper in the scientific session on the topic- “Validation of morphometric analysis in lateral cephalogram for sex determination- A retrospective study and won the third prize.

Dr. Parnaja Valke (1 st MDS) won the 1 st prize for best poster presentation on the topic “Antimicrobial efficacy of Alstonia scholaris and Calotropis procera against Streptococcus mutans: an in vitro study,.” under the guidance of Dr. Indu Varkey (senior lecturer).

Congratulations to Dr. Janice Pinto, PG student from the Department of Oral Medicine and Radiology won the first prize held at Rama University Mandhana, Kanpur from 5th to 7th May 2022 for best paper presentation

It is a proud moment for us to announce that the 2nd year post-graduate student, Dr. Janice Pinto secured the first prize in the Nation wide Digital Art Contest.

1) Shraddha Dinesh Shinde secured the SECOND PLACE in the Nature Reels competition, Conducted by GSL dental college in association with NSS on the occasion of Environment Day, on June 5th 2021
2) Sneh Deep secured the SECOND PLACE in All India Painting Contest held on 24th January 2021 conducted by IADS (Indian Association of Dental Students) under SAMAYATA event.
3) Sneh Deep secured the THIRD PLACE in All India Painting Contest held on 23th January 2021 conducted by IADS (Indian Association of Dental Students) under SAMAYATA event.
4) Rachita Seth secured the THIRD PLACE in Scientific events for e-poster Presentation held on 23th January 2021 conducted by IADS (Indian Association of Dental Students) under SAMAYATA event.
5) Rachita Seth secured the FIRST PRIZE in the student’s Virtual Seminar held on 15th and 16th October 2020 in the Department of Anatomy at Dr. D.Y. Patil Medical college, Nerul, Navi Mumbai
6) Rachita Seth secured the SECOND PLACE in Table Clinics during the Annual Inter College Fest held on 3rd, 4th and 5th March 2020 at Interstellate festival in Nair Hoapital Dental College
7) Pankhudi Dixit has got three of her poems, ‘Beautiful Adipose’, ‘Dockyards’ and ‘Worship you’ published in three different anthologies ‘Remember the roses’, ‘Bouquet of Words’ and ‘NarcissIndia’ by varioIndia publications. All the books are available on Amazon and her poetic works are up on the poetry website and community Allpoetry.com. Her poems made it to the front page of the website as well. Her publications gained her a mention in an article on leading news media platforms, Daily hunt and the Postman.
8) Pankhudi Dixit, has been an active member of acclaimed organization Indian Association of Dental Students which is a non-profit organization working in over 60 countries. The parent organization for the same is FDI World Dental Federation. For three years she was a working member as the Maharashtra State President. She conducted a national level online scientific event for 3 days in January, SAMAYATA. Currently Pankhudi got promoted as the Director of Internal Affairs IADS India as a part of the national team of the organization.
9) Christina Pereira secured the FIRST POSITION in the paper presentation under the theme “Forgotten facts v/s recent Trends in Dentistry” in the undergraduate category during Sci Fi Knowledge network held on 14th and 15th January 2020 at Bharati Vidyapeeth Dental College and Hospital, Navi Mumbai.
10) Christina Pereira secured the FIRST POSITION in 3D model making on occasion of NATIONAL ORAL PATHOLOGY DAY organized by Department of Oral Pathology and Microbiology on 24th February 2020 at DY PATIL SCHOOL OF DENTISTRY.
11) Christina Pereira secured the SECOND PLACE in Table Clinics during the Inter-college Scientific festival held on 3rd, 4th and 5th March 2020 at Nair Hospital Dental College.
12) Christina Pereira secured the SECOND PLACE in Live Poster Presentation in Matrix 2020 at DY Patil University School of Dentistry on 24th-29th February 2020 during Matrix festival.
13) Christina Pereira became the recipient of Special Jury Award in the category of STUDENT OF THE YEAR undergraduate Zone A by the FANDENT Excellence in Dentistry awards.
14) Christina Pereira secured the FIRST POSITION in paper presentation event organized as a part of FIRST MAHARASHTRA STATE LEVEL VIRTUAL UG ORAL PATHOLOGY SUMMIT, 2021-EPIPHANY at M.A. RANGOONWALA COLLEGE, Pune.
