Dental Check-up and Oral Cancer screening camp

Prevention 3141 conducted a dental check-up and oral cancer screening camp on 23rd September
2022 at Aarey Milk Colony, Goregoan. The staff Dr. Sheiba Gomes and Dr Ketaki Bhor along
with interns: Faiza Sayyad, Samiya Haq,and AaishaOjaparticipated in the camp.
The objectives of the camp were to conduct dental check-up and screen the patients for
potentially malignant lesions and educatethem on the harmful effects of tobacco and conduct
awareness about tobacco cessation.
A total of 45 patients wereexamined and 18 showed the presence of potentially malignant
lesions. Treatment and counseling were recommended for those who needed it.Travelers and
common public commuting and staying in Aarey colony area benefitted from this initiative
