IAOMR Event (7 th May): "Revolutionizing Oral Medicine and Radiology: Inaugural Triumph of the IAOMR Maharashtra State Branch"
On May 7, 2023, the inaugural
ceremony of the Indian Association of
Oral Medicine and Radiology (IAOMR)
Maharashtra state branch took place at
the Auditorium of D Y Patil University
School of Dentistry. The event was a
significant milestone and featured two
guest lectures by renowned
professionals in the field. Dr. Ambika
Arora delivered a lecture on the "Role
of Oral Physician in routine practice,"
while Dr. Amita Aditya shared insights
into the "Speciality Practice of Oral
Medicine and Radiology journey
through an academician's eye."
The ceremony also included a skit
competition among teams of
undergraduate and postgraduate
students from various institutes,
including D Y Patil University School of
Dentistry, GDC and Hospital Mumbai,
Nair Hospital and Dental College, and D
Y Patil University, Pimpri. Additionally,
a logo competition was organized,
attracting 20 entries from institutes
across Maharashtra. The winners of
the logo competition were awarded
three prizes, with Dr. Anindita
Chakraborty, a postgraduate student
from the Department of OMR at School
of Dentistry, Navi Mumbai, securing
the first prize. The skit competition was
won by the postgraduate students of
OMR at D Y Patil University School of
Dentistry.
Following these engaging activities, the
program proceeded with the inaugural
ceremony of the Maharashtra branch
of IAOMR and the Annual General
Meeting (AGM) of the newly elected
committee. The event garnered
significant attention, with a total of 90
delegates from various regions across
Maharashtra in attendance. Overall,
the inaugural ceremony and associated
activities were hailed as a tremendous
success, showcasing the commitment
and enthusiasm of the dental
community in Maharashtra.
