A dental awareness and education camp was conducted by the Department of Pedodontics and Preventive Dentistry on 4th January 2021 at Shiravane village, Nerul, Navi Mumbai. The dental camp was led by Dr. InduVarkey (Senior lecturer) and included postgraduate students and interns. The team of doctors had donned personal protective equipment (PPE) and took all precautionary measures while conducting the camp. Groups of parents and children were shown video presentations about oral hygiene measures, types of dental problems, and dental treatments available for children in the department.

Parents were also explained about the precautionary measures that are taken in the Covid-19 pandemic. Pamphlets with all details were also distributed. This camp is a part of the weekly dental camps being conducted by the Department of Pedodontics and Preventive Dentistry to spread awareness about dental problems in children and timely measures to be taken to avoid future complications.
