The Department of Pedodontics and Preventive Dentistry, DY Patil Deemed to be University, School of Dentistry, has always strived towards helping children develop healthy habits and to care for their teeth while they are young. With this aim, a dental awareness camp was conducted by the Department of Pedodontics and Preventive Dentistry on 1st February 2021. The camp was held at Shri Jagadguru Shankaracharya Udyan, Sector 21 and Shri Guru Nanak dev Ji garden, sector 19, Nerul. It was organized to create awareness about oral hygiene, dental problems, and measures to treat the same. Pamphlets with all details were also distributed. Parents and children were shown video presentations about oral hygiene. The young children cherished the chance to interact with the dentists, to enquire and gain knowledge about their oral health, and to maintain good oral hygiene.

The dental camp was led by Dr.Rupinder Bhatia and Dr. Indu Varkey, along with Dr.Shreya Khodke, Dr.Jinal Desai, Dr.Akshaya Mudaliar, interns Saraswati Thangella, Saba Patel, and Mr.Vinod Bandle.
