Session on De-addiction

Venue: School of Dentistry DY Patil deemed to be University Navi Mumbai Department of Public Health Dentistry School of Dentistry DY Patil deemed to be University, Navi Mumbai organized sessions on Deaddiction on 19 th June 2023 on the occasion of ‘National Public Health Dentistry Day’ to sensitize the students on Tobacco and Drug de addiction.

There were two sessions:
Dr. Lucky Kasat: Why do we pick up late
Dr. Neelam Gada: Tobacco De Addiction Processes

Profile of the Speakers:
Dr. Lucky Kasat is a consultant pediatric surgeon, TEDx Speaker, motivational speaker, counselor, anti-drug campaigner, author and poet. He highlighted the signs and symptoms of drug addiction, ways to detect a drug addict and the process of de-addiction

Dr. Nilam Gada, is a tobacco de-addiction specialist, cosmetic dental surgeon, and philanthropist She focused on the ill-effects of tobacco consumption and methods of tobacco de- addiction.

The sessions were attended by undergraduate students across batches.
