1) In the period between 2020 – 2025, the School of Biotechnology proposes to advance the research frontiers by developing capabilities in Stem Cell Technology and Next Generation Sequencing. Faculty of the School have already undergone specialized training for some aspects of the above mentioned areas of specialization in Biotechnology and Bioinformatics.

2) Proposals for upgradation of laboratory facilities in this direction have also been designed. The School of Biotechnology is taking concrete steps to enable research and thus contribute to the field of precision medicine. The outcome of the above endeavor is to identify diagnostic makers, therapeutic targets and design and development of new molecules and biologics in the next five years.

3) The School also proposes to introduce a new post graduate programme in Bioelectronics and Instrumentation in order to train skilled manpower for the ‘Make in India’ endeavor.
