Objective of event – To treat Vaman – Sadhya Vyadhi, impart long lasting benefits to patients by the purificatory procedure of Vaman and to promote Panchakarma therapies among the masses.

Venue of the event - D.Y.Patil Ayurved Hospital, Nerul, Navi Mumbai

Activities conducted in the event:

• The Department of Panchakarma,School of Ayurveda, D.Y. Patil Deemed to be University, Nerul, Navi Mumbai had arranged an Awareness Lecture on Vasantik Vaman on 3 rd February, 2023 at the Virtual classroom as an event to mark the beginning of the Vasantik Vaman Camp for the year 2023. Response of patients was tremendous. Successful registration and planning of Vaman was done for 5 patients on the same day of this lecture.
• Throughout the camp tenure, selection of the patient for Vaman was done and Vaman was administered to the patient as per the schedule.
• Selection of Vamak Dravya was done as per the Vyadhi Awastha of the patient.
• Candidates who underwent Vaman were of two groups - Swastha & Vyadhita. Both these categories were immensely benefited by the camp.
• Also, The Department of Panchakarma had arranged a Guest Lecture on “Clinical Aspects of Vaman 2023” delivered by Dr. Seema Bahatkar Madam, Professor & HOD, Panchakarma Department, R.A. Podar Ayurvedic Medical College, Worli.on 11 th April, 2023 as an event to mark conclusion of Vasantik Vaman Shibir 2023. This lecture was aimed to enrich knowledge of final year students regarding Vaman procedure and refurbish knowledge of faculties too. A unique initiative was undertaken where in felicitation of students with certificate of appreciation who volunteered for Vaman was done. Another unique initiative was that at last Khajuradi Mantha was served as refreshment to all students, faculties and other delegates to promote its use in the upcoming Grishma Ritu.

Total 59 patients were benefited from the Vansantik Vaman camp for the year 2023.
