Department of Sanskrit Samhita Siddhant, School of Ayurvedaa, DY Patil Deemed to be University, Navi Mumbai successfully conducted a Guest Lecture on ‘Panchatantra – A Practical Guide for Decision Making’ on the occasion of World Sanskrit Week Celebration – 2021 for U. G. / P. G. Students and teachers on 24th August 2021 on a virtual platform.
The primary motive of this workshop was to encourage the students to learn the basics of the Sanskrit language and overcome the fear of the Sanskrit language from their minds which is the quintessence of Ayurveda. In total, 250 students and teachers participated in this workshop.
The event was hosted by Dr. Vinay Pawar, Associate Professor, Dept of Sanskrit Samhita Siddhant. Dean Dr. Mahesh Kumar Harit sir delivered the welcome speech & also explain the need for Sanskrit knowledge in the present era.
Honorable Dr. Raghuram Bhatt Sir, Secretary I/C, NCISM, President, Medical Assessment & Rating Board for usn System of Medicine, NCISM was invited as the chief guest for the inaugural function. Bhatt sir highlighted the importance of Sanskrit in Ayurveda studies in his speech.
The resource person Dr. Prasad Bhide, Professor, Dept of Sanskrit, K. J. Somaiya College of Arts and Science, Vidyavihar, Mumbai delivered an insightful lecture on ‘Panchatantra – A Practical Guide for Decision Making’. Bhide sir explained the importance of Panchatantra in Sanskrit studies, Ayurveda studies as well as in decision-making in our day-to-day life.
The lecture was appreciated by all the participants. Dr. Sudarshan Hande, Associate Professor, Dept of Sanskrit Samhita Siddhant, School of Ayurvedaa, DY Patil Deemed to be University, Navi Mumbai delivered the vote of thanks.
