Shalyatantra Department School of Ayurveda, D Y Patil deemed to be University
School had organized a Guest Lecture on “Pain management through Ayurveda” in
association with digital partner Nirog Street, on 21 st April 2023 at virtual classroom,
first floor, D Y Patil Ayurvedic Hospital Nerul, Navi Mumbai. The guest of honour
was Vaidya Ramdas Avhad Sir (Rastriya Guru RAV- New Delhi). Sir is renowned
Ayurvedacharya, A living legend and an eminent personality in the field of ayurveda.
The flow of event for guest lecture was as follows. Guest lecture started with welcome
of our guest speaker and all delegates in the virtual classroom by Dr Vedika Bhoir
madam Associate professor of Shalyatantra department, followed by Dhanvantri
poojan by our guest speaker and Dean sir. Felicitation of our guest speaker was done
by Organising Chairman and Head of the department Shalyatantra Dr Amarprakash
Dwivedi sir and Co-organising Chairman and Associate Professor of Shalyatantra
Department Dr Mayur Pawaskar sir. Welcome speech was delivered by the Dean Dr
Mahesh Kumar Harit Sir and Dr Mayur Pawaskar Sir, followed by the introduction
with unique audio-visual presentation of our guest speaker Vaidya Ramdas Avhad Sir
was presented by Dr Aniruddha Pawar sir Assistant Professor Shalyatantra
Department. Avhad Sir started his lecture on “Pain management through Ayurveda”
followed by Promotional lecture by our digital partner Nirog Street. Few General
Physician shared their experiences of working and learning from our guest speaker.
Post lecture Vaidya Ramdas Avhad Sir was honoured with “Ayurveda Ratna Award
2023”.
The event ended with thanks to our Founder Dr D Y Patil saheb, Chancellor Dr Vijay
D Patil Sir, Vice President and Pro Vice Chancellor Mrs. Shivani Patil madam and our
Vice Chancellor Mrs Vandana Mishra madam followed by National Anthem and
Snacks to all delegates, Faculty members, postgraduate students, undergraduate
students, and Interns.
The Guest Lecture was attended by around 268 delegates including general
practitioners from all over Maharashtra, faculty members, undergraduate students,
postgraduate students, Interns of all departments. The event was primarily aimed to
have brainstorming session on “Pain management through Ayurveda” used in the
management of various diseases.
