National Webinar on Role of Animal Studies
in Ayurvedic Pharmaceutical Research
Department of Rasa-shastra and Bhaishajya Kalpana, D. Y. Patil Deemed to be University, School of Ayurvedaa, Nerul, Navi Mumbai successfully conducted a National Webinar on“Role of Animal Studies in Ayurvedic Pharmaceutical Research” on Thursday, 02nd September 2021, at 11:00, am onwards for all UG & PG Students, Ph.D. Scholars, Consultants, and Teaching staff of all over us through the Zoom online platform.

Details of Program –
The program started as per schedule with Salutation to Lord Dhanvantari, followed by a Welcome Speech given by our departmental faculty Dr.Kavita Turambekar (Assistant Prof. Dept. of Rasashastra&Bhaishajya Kalpana). Initially, All participants and dignitaries were welcomed. After that Dr. Mahesh Kumar Harit, Dean, School of Ayurvedaa, DY Patil Deemed to be University, Navi Mumbai welcomed our guest speaker & inaugurated the National Webinar with his motivational words.
Later on, the Speech was started by Guest Speaker– Dr. Vikas Karande, Assistant Prof., Dept of Pharmacology&Toxicology,Krantisinha Nana Patil College of Veterinary Science, Shirval, Tal- Khandala, Dist- Satara. The webinar was conducted through an online platform via Zoom Meeting. The prime focus of this webinar was to educate students and teachers regarding the modern concept of the role of Animal Studies in Ayurvedic Pharmaceutical Research. He conducted a very scientific, informative, and enlightening seminar. He has thrown light on the topic in a very different and unique way. He explained the importance of different animal models in a very elaborative way which will help all the UG and PG students to upgrade their knowledge in the same perspective. After completion of Sir’s innovative and valuable speech question and answer session conducted by Dr. Kavita Turambekar Madam. Total332 delegates from various Ayurveda institutions all over us registered &participated in this webinar.
At last, Dr. Archana Gharote Professor& H.O.D Department of Rasa-shastra and BhaishajyaKalpana, School of Ayurvedaa, proposed a vote of thanks.
The Department of Rasa Shastra and Bhaishajya Kalpana received an enormously positive response which was evident from the pool of positive feedback received from the delegates through google forms.
