The Department of Panchakarma, School of Ayurveda, D.Y. Patil Deemed to be University, Nerul, Navi Mumbai had arranged a Guest Lecture on “Clinical Aspects of Vaman 2023”on 11 th April, 2023 11.00 am onwards as an event to mark conclusion of Vasantik Vaman Shibir 2023. Venue of the event– Virtual Classroom, Ist Floor, D.Y.Patil Ayurved Hospital, Nerul, Navi Mumbai.

Details of Program –
The program was started sharp at 11.00 am. Hosting of the program was done by Dr. Aditi Lingayat, Assistant Professor, Panchakarma.

After Dhanwantari Stavan, official inauguration was done by Dr. Santosh Chavan Sir, I/C Dean, School of Ayurveda.

Welcome and felicitation of guest speaker Dr. Seema Bahatkar Madam was done with a floral bouquet by by Dr. Santosh Chavan Sir and by Shawl & Shriphal by the H.O.D of Panchakarma Department Dr. Ritu Wadhwa Madam.

A unique initiative was undertaken where in felicitation of students with certificate of appreciation who volunteered for Vaman was done.
Introduction of guest speaker Dr. Seema Bahatkar Madam was done by Dr. Aditi Lingayat. Lecture was delivered by Dr. Seema Bahatkar Madam. Madam stressed on clinical aspects of Vaman Karma. She stressed on the practical experiences and enriched the lecture with her insights on the procedure. She highlighted on the importance of proper conduction of Purvakarma like Rukshan, Deepan, Pachan and Snehapan. Madam listed different Yogas of Vaman used in different diseases. Overall lecture was informative.
As a token of gratitude Panchakarma Department felicitated Dr. Seema Bahatkar Madam with a certificate and momento for delivering the lecture.

Objective of event–
1. To promote Panchakarma and highlight its multi dimensional utility.
2. To keep upgrading knowledge among Vaidyas and Ayurveda students.
3. This session was conducted to mark the conclusion of Vasantik Vaman Shibir organised each year as a tradition by Panchakarma Department. A total of 59 candidates underwent Vaman in the Vasant Ritu of 2023.
Remarks – The Department of Panchakarma received an enormous positive response which was evident from the pool of positive feedbacks received from the students and teachers.
