Basti Prashasti 2021- A National Webinar on
Multidimensional Functions of Basti
The Department of Panchakarma, School of Ayurvedaa, DY Patil Deemed to be University, Nerul, Navi Mumbai had arranged a National Webinar – “Basti Prashasti 202” – A National Webinar on Multidimensional Functions of Basti on Virtual Platform “Zoom” on 17th August 2021, 11.00 am onwards.
Venue of the event–School of Ayurveda, DY Patil Deemed to be University, Nerul, Navi Mumbai. (through virtual platform ZOOM)

Details of Program –
The program was started sharp at 11.00 am. The hosting of the program was done by Dr. Aditi Lingayat.
After Dhanwantari Stavan, the official inauguration was done by Dr. Maheshkumar Harit, Dean, School of Ayurvedaa.
Dr. Ritu Wadhwa presented a glimpse of activities carried out in the Department of Panchakarma in our institute.
Dr. Santosh Kumar Bhatted Sir delivered his lecture with a PPT presentation including his thoughtful insights on the subject. Sir highlighted the multi-faceted functions of Basti Chikitsa. Specific Basti Kalpana in various diseases was enumerated. Sir gave a detailed explanation on change in Basti Kalpana depending on the Avastha of the patient and stressed its importance. Overall the lecture was very informative. The question and answer session at the end of the lecture made the event interactive.
At the end of the lecture, the Prize distribution of the Online Panchakarma Quiz competition held on 26/10/2020 was done. The winners Ankita Mhatre and Ekta Mhatre were presented with Satik Charak Samhita (1st Prize) and Satik Ashtang Hrudayam (2nd Prize) by the Panchakarma Department. The felicitation was done by the physical presence of Dr. Maheshkumar Harit Sir and Dr. Ritu Wadhwa to the winners.
A vote of thanks was delivered by Dr. Jaya Ghore.
Details of participants–A total of 134 participants registered for the event through google forms. 118 participants attended the session, who were mailed with E-Certificates by the department. 22% of the candidates who joined the Webinar were from out of the Maharashtra region.
The objective of event– –
1. To promote Panchakarma and highlight its multi-dimensional utility.
2. To keep upgrading knowledge among Vaidyas and Ayurveda students.
Remarks – The Department of Panchakarma received an enormously positive response which was evident from the pool of positive feedback received from the delegates through google forms.
